Is it time for your
JCAHO survey?
- If the FDA, JCAHO, State Health Department,
or OSHA "dropped-in unannounced" would you be compliant
with the numerous Standards that apply to the Sterile Processing,
Supply Distribution and Central Supply?
- Is your record keeping system complete
and in compliance as required for all in-house sterilized items?
- Are you able to "track" all
in-house sterilized items to the patient on which the item was
used?
- Are you prepared for a recall of sterilized
items in the event of a positive BI?
- Is your CS staff competently trained in
the proper cleaning, decontamination and sterilization of the
expensive equipment you are purchasing? Are they certified
as Sterile Processing and Distribution Technicians? If not, are
you paying for errors through the cost of repairs and the "down-time"
of instrumentation and equipment?
- Is your EtO Policy and the monitoring
of your staff in compliance with OSHA and the EPA or State regulations?
